Situato ad Est di Luxor, il Museo della Mummificazione racconta l'antica arte egizia della mummificazione e ne esibisce i relativi manufatti e le mummie.
Inaugurato nel 1997, questo museo illustra il processo di mummificazione della durata di 70 giorni e vi spiegherà questo strano rito, così come l'origine degli strumenti utilizzati e l'emarginazione sociale subite da coloro che operavano sui corpi.
